Dean Russell Mertens – A Qualified Structural/Applications/Product Engineer

Dean Russell Mertens is a Structural/Applications/Product Engineer in Rilco Manufacturing Company, Inc., which is a leading company in the United States, committed to developing a wide variety of pipe supports and components for over thirty five years. His job responsibilities in the firm includes – managing research & development department and customer requested testing; assisting in product development of new designs; creating testing procedures & criteria to meet expectations of the customers; assisting and supervising test setup and procedures; designing products as per customer requirements, producing calculation documents to insure products' integrity, and more.

Dean Russell Mertens is backed by an excellent academic background. After successfully completing his senior secondary education, he enrolled in the University of Houston to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and graduated in May 2012. He did his major in Structural Engineering because of his deep interest in the subject. He also passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (Civil) in April 2013.

Apart from his terrific educational background, it is his excellent technical skills that helped him get great career opportunities one after another. He is adept in Pro-Engineer, Matlab, Fire Dynamics Simulator, Pspice , Arcview, AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Excel, Visual Basic, Mastan2, SAP2000,  and Technical Drawing. Before getting the opportunity to work in Rilco Manufacturing Company, Inc., Dean Russell Mertens worked as “GIS Technician/Cost Estimating Interns” in Hermann Park Conservancy, Shell Oil Internship (from June 2011 to Jan 2012). And before that, he worked as a “Civil Engineering Intern” in Cobb, Fendley & Associates, Inc. (from Dec 2009 to Jan 2010). In all the companies that he worked with, he was appreciated for not only his competency but also for his sincerity, dedication, and hard work. Other than work, what keeps Russel occupied placing sports like– basketball, golf, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. He also likes to travel and explore new places.
